My client is a Government owned company that is responsible for managing the countries offshore assets.
The four offshore oil fields have a substantial life ahead of them and contain significant opportunity. Integrated as a single, performance-focused team in concert with a service operator, my client is now implementing ambitious plans for reinvestment in, and reinvigoration of its fields.
As part of this programme they currently require a Senior Well Integrity Engineer. Reporting to the the production engineering team leader you will be responsible for all the well integrity operations. Your overall objective will be to ensure that there is no unplanned releases of hydrocarbons and that all risks to personnell, the assets and the environment are mitigated.
Responsibilities will include;
-Ensuring the well integrity assurance process is maintained and adhered to
-Review well integrity issues with a view to maximising production
ensure that well integrity issues are logged in the relevant databases and solutions managed in efficient manner
-Ensure that all issues are relayed to well design team and if appropriate procedures/ standards updated
-Review well testing reports and make recommendations as applicable for remedial operations
-Keep open lines of communication with reporting line managers as appropriate
-Provide technical support to Well Maintenance for well intervention problems, solutions and fishing operations
Based in Dubai onshore you will be expected to make the occasional offshore field visit.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of;
-10 years Well Construction/ Intervention experience including 5 years in a supervisory capacity coordinating well intervention/ integrity activities
-Excellent communication skills and familiarity with basic Microsoft packages
-Excellent problem solving skills for both process and technical issues such that methods and processes remain current
-Strong HSE awareness and leadership
