Flood relief scheme, involving pipe-jack and open-cut excavation.



















Key Tasks & Responsibilities




Manage Reculver Road scheme in accordance with 4D and SWS procedure
Approval of risk assessments and method statements on sites ? either directly or from sub-contractors
Ensure that all work in progress is supervised and that HSE regulations are adhered to at all times
Management of QA/QC to standard plans and procedures
Ensure inspection and test plan or equivalent exists before sub-contractor starts work and that the relevant checks are carried out
Day to day planning of the works
Interface with designers and project team and any other visitor to site
Providing information for commercial/cost control
Monthly report on progress and programme

Skills and competencies:

Self starter and able to take responsibility and operate under own initiative
Technical competence, aware of the community
Open and honest, able to demonstrate commitment to own and others professional and technical development
Able to demonstrate implementation and management of current HSE legislation
Capable in written and oral communication
Ability in leadership and organisation, decision making and records
Experience of budget preparation and sub-contract management with a detailed knowledge of various conditions of contract
Experience in engineering methods, temporary works, planning and programming and setting out
Knowledge of quality systems
Planning software experience
The solution is a mixture of open-cut and 1.2m pipe-jack
