We are looking for a software engineer with experience in industry to work for a market leader in defence technology. All candidates must be capable of gaining full security clearance and be able to work across the full software life cycle.



You will work closely with the technical and commercial teams to design and prototype new product components and functionality, designing, creating and implementing algorithms into software. All candidates must have industry experience in all phases of the software lifecycle, Java development, HCI, TCP/IP, UDP, linux, multi-threading and distributed processing. In addition candidates will ideally have a background in signal processing such as sonar or radar and have experience in network configuration, SQL, XML, Matlab, C++, Subversion and use of a middleware such as DDS or DSS. Previous experience with distributed acoustic sensor and/or acoustic ground sensors would be highly desirable



This will be working in a fast paced environment, previous work in a start-up product based commercial organisation would be an advantage alongside the ability to work to tight deadlines. You must have good organisational skills to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and give diligence in code writing and testing as part of a software development team.



The ideal candidate will come from a signal processing or acoustic sensing background, have experience programming with Java, implementing complex algorithms and have written Matlab analysis routines.
