We currently have an opportunity for someone experienced in the Street Works sector to act as Street Works Support Manager for our energy company client.
Our client carries out approximately 100,000 excavations in the public highway each year, the street authorities have a right to inspect those works and defect any failures. There are over 9,000 charges received by our client each year relating to defects, over runs and fixed penalty notices. All charges require full investigation and response to street authorities; many charges are either not justified or not payable at the invoiced value.
We are looking for someone who can manage a financially biased team responding to charges for streetworks from the authorities. You must have prior experience of liaising with the technical side of a local authority and the role is 90% office based, not managing a team of engineers on site. Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage and the role is more clerical than engineering.
