TRAFFIC ENGINEER-LOCAL AUTHORITY-WEST LONDON -£22 PER HOUR-IMMEDIATE START
The client is top local authority looking for a talented traffic Engineer in West London .
The role will involve working within the team on a number of projects across the authority and require the following qualifications and experience;
Degree / HNC (or equivalent)
Must be able to drive and be fluent in English
Ideally, at least 3 years traffic management design experience gained working in local government, TFL or engineering consultancy
This will be a 6 month contract, working direct for the council, e xperience should include most of the following areas ;
Highways design & improvements, signalised junction design & analysis, traffic calming schemes, school travel strategy schemes, accident investigation and remedial measures, pedestrian crossings, bus priority works, cycle routes and facilities, controlled parking zones, safety audits, waiting and loading restrictions.
Must be experienced in the use of AutoCAD and MS Office programmes
Be able to undertake basic level surveys and it would be advantageous if they were able to use Total Station type equipment and traffic speed guns
Be able to write letters and reports and deal with public over the phone and in person
Ability to superintend contractors on site including checking setting out, chapter 8 signing and agreeing measured works.
Financially aware and be able to ensure works invoices and fee claims are progressed in a timely manner
Be a team player who has desire to get job done
In Return my client is looking to offer a competitive hourly rate of £22 per hour. You will also earn valuable experience within a Local Authority highly regarded throughout the United Kingdom .
