Constant communication with the area's maintenance contractor to ensure all defects such as barrier damage and road surface defects, down to litter picking and grass cutting are completed within the allocated timescale available. 
Review any method statements and risk assessments provided by traffic management subcontractors and alter where deemed necessary and ensure all subcontractors from the local area maintenance contractor supply method statements and risk assessments prior to any work being undertaken. 
Ensure any of the above working within the site has had a full induction before any work commences.

My client, a developer of special purpose machinery used with electronics manufacturing, have an opening for a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer.
The successful candidate will be part of a multi-skilled mechanical development team which designs, develops and supports test equipment. You will be an experienced and competent mechanical design engineer ideally with analytical skills in FEA. Knowledge of vibration and dynamics would be beneficial. 
The position available is lead engineer of new equipment products and will also involve coordination of a small team. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, an extremely positive and professional attitude towards working as a team to strict project plans and schedules. A flexible work ethic and good team working are essential. An attitude to continuous improvement and high quality product design and output is essential. Candidates must be prepared to travel abroad, and work extended hours if/when required. Travel to the US, Far East, and Europe is likely, in order to gather requirements, participate in design discussions, support installation and debug of equipment in the customers premises. 
The successful candidate will work in one or more of the above product lines. Specialist thermal and dynamics engineers are part of the team to support design development of the three product ranges. 
Prerequisites
-Solidworks 3D CAD modeling system or equivalent
-A minimum second class honors degree in mechanical engineering.

-A quality focus and approach within an ISO9000/2000 environment 
-Experience in design of mechanical structures
-Application of FMEA
-Application of DFMA
-Rapid Prototyping manufacture and testing
-Component dimensioning and tolerancing including good knowledge of GD&amp;T
-Product documentation, release and change control 
-A thorough working knowledge of 3D modeling systems mechanical design / drafting methods.

This has brought with it a need for a Project Engineer to join the Engineering Team, on a contract basis. Proven knowledge of gas turbines essential, knowledge of Rolls Royce RB211 gas turbines ideal. 
Overview:
To ensure that the MRO facility complies with appropriate requirements and report any breaches / deficiencies.
To carry out monthly customer surveys to obtain feedback on the clients service.
Ensure this feedback results in the MRO responding and reacting accordingly.
To report any technical support and spares supply issues that may impact on the clients service.
To provide technical support and be the interface when dealing with technical liaison requests.
To ensure that only Rolls Royce approved Repair Vendors carry out component repair for the MRO.
You will:
Have knowledge of Rolls Royce's product range and their applications.
Be conversant with engine build procedures.
Have good communication and presentation skills with proven experience in a technical function.
Be able to provide customers with sound technical assistance.
Ideally have a good understanding of Rolls Royce RB211 gas turbines and the appropriate overhaul process.
