My client is a well regarded construction consultancy with based across the South East. Due to succession planning for one of their senior Directors they are looking for an ambitious CDM coordinator to join and develop within their business. They cover a range of projects including new build, refurbishment and restoration covering the following sectors; Residential, Commercial, Retail, Education, Leisure and Historic/Heritage.
This will be a client facing role and in addition to the understanding of the CDM regulations and the provision of these services the candidate will cover a range of duties including business development, risk analysis, management and undertaking a strategic role within the businesses future development. This role holds strategic importance within the business as the successful candidate will be working with the director of this sector and will look to succeed them and develop into the Director role and potentially into an MD role in future.
Requirements:
Chartered Membership of APS, IOSH or IIRSM 
BSc /HND in relevant construction subject
Consultancy / PQS background
10+ year's experience (5+ in CDM)
Candidates coming from a background in Architecture, Building Surveying, Engineering etc and who have then developed in to the HSE and CDM role would be preferable
An understanding of the wider aspects of construction than just health and safety
Ability to undertake business development

Due to an increasing volume of work they require a suitably experienced individual to join the successful and expanding electronics department within the fire detection laboratory. The work will involve project management and testing of complex electronic products in the fire alarm and fire detection fields for certification and approval to European or International Standards and Directives and where appropriate laboratory development work.
You will be required to manage multiple projects from client enquiry through to report publication, working to Standards, Directives and UKAS accreditation procedures. You will carry out product testing for both type approval and product audit, logging results, report preparation and final sign off including invoicing.
To be considered for this role you will have a track record in product testing or evaluation, commissioning or quality and approvals in an electrical/electronic field and hold a qualification in an electronic discipline. The ability to work to laboratory procedures, Standards and UKAS accreditation principles are essential qualities. Full training however will be given within the specialist product areas.
There will be considerable client contact and therefore excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to maintain and build good customer relations.
