You will be responsible for both management of and hands on process selection and detailed process design over a wide range of Industrial wastewater applications, also in the assessment and familiarization of new technologies and processes presented to the company. You'll also be working closely with Project Managers to develop the detailed design of processes and layouts, with an involvement design decisions in both process and structural design. Ensuring that development of biological, chemical and equipment tailored treatment processes, plant designs and layouts achieve client requirements. Managing the operations of the drawing office in regard to scheduling, budget control and design works, also the division in regards to design and commissioning support, scheduling and budget control.
To be successful in your application, candidates ware likely to be MSc/MEng qualified in a relevant science or engineering discipline is required from an accredited university. With proven extensive post qualification experience in detailed industrial wastewater process design. 
In addition to a broad knowledge of techniques of wastewater treatment, the overall process design requires a strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and the following areas:
* Chemical processes as applicable to wastewater treatment, chemical resistance and corrosion chemistry, storage and handling of dangerous goods.
* Physical separation systems: including DAF, DAFF, clarifiers, plate and tube settlers, coalescing plate separators, screening systems etc.
* Biological design: including Anaerobic, MBR, SBR, MBBR for Industrial wastewater including a working knowledge of Biowin software.
* MF and RO systems, applications and selection
* Hydraulic design, pumping and piping arrangements.
* OHS requirements: including guarding, estop systems, access requirements and facilitation of internal and external HAZOP's
* Assembly techniques, materials selection, welding and fabrication.
* Experience in structural assembly, steelwork &amp; platforms, civil &amp; concrete design in order to assess and guide detailed design by others.
Chosen candidates will have a proven ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints, the ability to understand, read, write and converse in English at advanced level, also being able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer relations skills. Travel is occasionally required (less than 20%) to locations primarily within Australia and sometimes to other worldwide locations.
